The Garden Center at Flying Horse opened April 20, 2009. We are associated with Pikes Peak Nurseries (serving the Pikes Peak region since 1985). The new Garden Center caters to the homeowner. Our setting is unique and the shopping experience like no other in the area.
Manager and Colorado Certified Nursery Professional, Bobbi Sexton, with Pikes Peak Nurseries since 1985, brings over 20 years of experience and professional insight in the green industry. Bobbi and her staff will help you make the best possible flower, shrub, and tree selections for the unique environment of this area.
Let us help you plan and design your landscape with plant choices that thrive in the many different soil, altitude, and moisture conditions that exist in our area. Enjoy the view of Pikes Peak, the Air Force Academy, and the front-range as you browse through our selection of fountains, yard art, pottery, and patio accessories. The Garden Center at Flying Horse is geared to the individual patio or homeowner. Consulting, planting and delivery services are available to assist you in completing your outdoor living area.
Join us for gardening demonstrations throughout the season. Find that special Halloween decoration and pumpkin and join us for a decorating party in October. Check our calendar for charity events. Warm up with hot cider and cookies as you start your holiday tradition here with a live or cut Christmas tree, wreath, and unique ornaments. February through December discover unique houseplants and indoor items ideal for gifts for any occasion. Gifts cards are also available.
Located 1.8 miles east of I-25 (exit 156A) and 1.5 miles west of Hwy 83 on Northgate Blvd. at Old Northgate Rd, the Garden Center at Flying Horse is easy off the interstate or north on Powers Blvd to Highway 83 for Colorado Springs, Black Forest, and Falcon residents, also just a short drive south on I-25 or Hwy 83 for Monument and Tri-Lakes residents.
Pikes Peak Nurseries (wholesale) is located in central Colorado Springs, exit I-25 (#141) east on Cimarron Street, south on 8th Street to Abbot Lane –across from the 8th Street Wal-Mart and adjacent to the Humane Society. Pikes Peak Nurseries, twelve acres, specializes in large caliper trees which can be purchased by the homeowner through the Garden Center at Flying Horse. Delivery and planting is available.
Both the Garden Center at Flying Horse and Pikes Peak Nurseries are members of the Colorado Nursery and Greenhouse Association and Colorado Certified Nursery Professionals.
The Wine Shoppe inside the Garden Center is a boutique of over 130 wines from America, including Colorado, and other countries. Many are priced under $15. The shop also has top shelf wines in stock perfect for special occasions and gifts. Red, white, and bubbly! Cheers! |
